Noting that the national elections will be held in February next year, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said many are trying to hinder elections in the country, so that people cannot exercise their right to vote. Attempts are being made to destabilize the country through conspiracies.
He said this at a protest march organized by BNP in the capital on Monday to protest the deterioration of the law and order situation across the country.
The BNP Secretary General said, “We want elections. We must hold elections on time. They are shouting slogans about Tarique Rahman in unspeakable language. They think that if they talk about Tarique Rahman, BNP will hide inside. BNP is that party that will turn around, BNP knows how to rise like a phoenix bird. BNP is being built with the inspiration of martyrs. They are trying to provoke BNP and make them fall into their trap.”
He said, “BNP has been moving with the people to drive away the fascists. And BNP will build resistance so that fascists cannot come.”
Commenting on the fact that some people have lost their minds after the London meeting, he said, “Those who speak against Tarique Rahman and BNP are enemies of democracy, enemies of the country.”
