Bangladesh shone with both bats and balls and confirmed their first win against the host Sri Lanka in the 2nd match of T20I series held in Dambula on Sunday evening.
Winning the toss, Lankans choose to field first. Captain Liton Das back in form scoring 77 of just 50 balls, while hard-hitter Shamim Hossain made 48 runs from just 27 balls and Bangladesh scored a good total of 177 runs.
Binura Fernando took 3 wickets for Sri Lanka.
In reply, the hosts couldn’t settle down as wickets were tumbling due to the meticulous bowling of the visitors. Only Pathum Nishanka and Dashun Shanaka have been able to rerach the double figure with 32 and 20 runs.
Rishad Hossain took 3 wickets for 18 runs while Shoriful Islam and Mohammad Saifuddin took 2 wickets for 12 and 21 runs respectively for Bangladesh.
Ealier, Bangladesh lost the first T20I by 7 wickets.
