BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed said, “Awami League has died politically in Bangladesh. The UN Human Rights Commission report has proven that Hasina is a mass murderer. Therefore, the Awami League and Hasina have no right to do politics in Bangladesh.”
He also said, “Awami League is not a political party, but a terrorist group. Therefore, they have been banned under the Anti-Terrorism Act.”
Mentioning that the Awami League does not have a DNA democracy, he said that Sheikh Hasina has proven which country she belongs to by fleeing to India.
Stating that the motives of those who want PR are different, Salahuddin Ahmed said, “They actually want something else. Let us sit together. Let us listen to the demands of each other.”
Salahuddin Ahmed said this in his speech as the chief guest at the Chakaria Upazila BNP biennial conference and council held at the Chakaria Government College ground in Cox's Bazar on Saturday.
Salahuddin Ahmed said, “The fascist Hasina has turned the country into a taxed state and has turned the whole country into a prison. Even after 54 years of independence, the flower of democracy has not blossomed. Sheikh Hasina has taken the country to the brink of destruction by holding dummy elections.”
Stating that the election season has begun, he said whoever the people vote for will be elected and that party will run the state.
“People have given their blood for 16 years, and now the fundamental rights of the people will be established through voting. There will be an election that will create a precedent and BNP will build a Bangladesh that the youth of the country aspire— a Bangladesh without discrimination.”
