Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, who is currently visiting Dhaka, went to meet BNP Chairperson and former prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia at her residence to inquire about her health.
Dar arrived at Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan residence at 7:00 pm on Sunday, BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Standing Committee member Professor Dr AZM Zahid Hossain were present on behalf of the party, while Pakistan’s Ambassador to Bangladesh Imran Haider also attended the meeting.
Khaleda Zia has long been suffering from multiple health complications, including liver cirrhosis, arthritis, diabetes, kidney disease, lung issues, heart conditions, and eye problems.
Ishaq Dar landed in Dhaka on Saturday afternoon aboard a special Pakistani flight.
