Why government not taking action against criminals, questions Tarique Rahman

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman said, “We have repeatedly asked the interim government to take action against criminals. Why is the government not taking action despite the occurring of this type of incidents is the question for the government.”

He said this while virtually joining a meeting with the families of those killed in the July uprising at a hotel in the capital on Saturday.

Tarique Rahman said, “Three months ago, BNP made its position clear to the interim government regarding the July Charter. Now the implementation of that charter depends on the government.”

The BNP Acting Chairman complained that some are creating unrest by making non-issue issues an issue. There are still allies of the previous government within the administration.

He said, "An invisible vested group is still conspiring against Bangladesh. We know who or what is destabilizing the healthy and normal environment."
