
A mobile court, accompanied by four magistrates from the Ministry of Energy, conducted raids on illegal fuel shops in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj. During the operation, a total of 1,080 liters of diesel and 50 liters of octane were seized from four shops. Additionally, two individuals were fined a total of Tk 14,000 for illegally selling fuel.
The raid took place on Tuesday (July 8) afternoon in the Godnail area of Ward 6 in Siddhirganj, with support from joint forces.
Confirming the matter, Narayanganj Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Md. Nahid Niaz Shishir said, “The operation was carried out jointly by four magistrates from the Ministry of Energy and three magistrates from the Narayanganj District Administration. We confiscated diesel and octane from four shops and fined two individuals for unauthorized fuel sales. Our drives will continue.”
Also present during the raid were Senior Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate of Narayanganj Nazmul Huda, Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Siddhirganj Revenue Circle Debjani Kor, members of RAB-11, BGB, and Siddhirganj Police.
