Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has denied any involvement of his party’s activists or supporters in mob activities across the country. Speaking to reporters at Syedpur Airport in Nilphamari on Friday afternoon, he stated, "We are against mob violence.

Jamaat-e-Islami does not support such actions, and none of our activists or supporters are involved in these mobs."

Dr. Rahman arrived in Saidpur to attend a public meeting in Rangpur, marking the party’s first rally in the region in 17 years. The event is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m., with Dr. Rahman attending as the chief guest.

Addressing the upcoming national election, the Jamaat Ameer emphasized the importance of reform to ensure a free and fair voting environment. "An electoral environment must be created first. The demands for reform are part of that process," he said. "We believe that if meaningful reforms are made on fundamental issues, inshallah, it will lead to a good election."

He further added, “This is not a matter of ‘if.’ Reforms are necessary. Only through them can we ensure a proper and credible election.”
