Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Asif Nazrul announced that a truth and reconciliation commission will be established in the country.
He came up with the information on Saturday afternoon while speaking at a discussion on “Enforced Disappearance Prevention and Remedy Ordinance, 2025” (Second Draft) held at the Judicial Administration Training Institute in the capital.
Asif Nazrul said, “Farhad (Farhad Mazhar) bhai has repeatedly spoken about the need for a truth and reconciliation commission. There is a strong need for a truth and justice commission or a truth and reconciliation commission. It would probably have been beneficial if such a body had existed in our country since 1972. We want to resolve everything in a very professional manner. We will establish a truth and reconciliation commission.”
