Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh began its grand rally to press home their four demands, including the revocation of the Women's Affairs Reform Commission, at Suhrawardy Udyan around 9 am on Saturday.
Processions have been held in Shahbagh, Nilkhet, Doyel Chattar and other areas of Dhaka since morning. Leaders and activists from different districts and sub-districts across the country, including Dhaka and Chattogram, have joined the rally
Their four demands are:
1. The scrapping of the Women's Affairs Reform Commission and its submitted report.
2. Full faith and trust in Allah must be reinstated in the constitution instead of pluralism.
3. Ensuring justice for the alleged mass killings of Shapla Chattar and withdrawing all cases against their leaders and members.
4. Government’s action to end mass killings and persecution of Muslims in India and Palestine.
