Mirza Fakhrul visits Jamaat Ameer at hospital

BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has visited the hospital to see Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman.

He visited a private hospital in the capital on Saturday evening.

BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the information.

Earlier, the Jamaat Ameer started his speech at the historic Suhrawardy Udan after 5 pm. He fell down when he felt sick the first time at around 5:20 pm. After a while, he stood up with the help of other leaders on the stage. At that time, the leaders held him; some of them blew air on his head. At 5:23 pm, he started speaking again. After not speaking for 1 minute, he stopped his speech for a moment when he felt sick again. Then he held his chest with his right hand and was seen falling. At that time, other leaders from all around held him up and made him sit up. He continued his speech while sitting down.

Shafiqur Rahman told the leaders and activists, "As long as Allah has kept me alive I will be alive; I will not be able to stay even a minute longer. So, none of you should be upset about this."

Then, the Jamaat Ameer ended his speech by saying, "Allahu Akbar, Bangladesh Zindabad."
