A new program has been announced so that the government gives Engineer Ishraque Hossain to realize the responsibility of the mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).
In continuation of the continuous program around Nagar Bhaban, it was announced to hold a sit-in program on Tuesday.
The program was announced by the coordinator of the movement and former secretary Mashiur Rahman. At the time, he questioned why the demands of the city residents are still not being accepted and extremely condemn the government, accusing it of being stubborn.
Stating that the program will continue until the demands are met, Mashiur Rahman said, "If this demand is not accepted by tomorrow, the government will have to pay the price.”
He warned the government to be prepared for any situation.
Earlier, the protesters held a blockade program under the banner of 'Dhakabasi' in Nagar Bhaban and its surrounding areas from 11 am on Monday. The protesters took a stand in front of Nagar Bhaban even before the program started at 11 am. Later, the protesters blocked the Banga Market area. At the same time, the road to Golap Shah Mazar was also closed.
Dhaka residents held a sit-in program in front of the city hall for the fifth day on Monday, demanding that Ishraque Hossain be given the responsibility of mayor. Earlier, the protesters also held a protest program with the participation of thousands of city residents towards the secretariat last Saturday and Sunday.
