Bangladesh women's football team drew 1-1 with Nepal women's football team in their final pool D match of the 19th Asian Games women's football conducted today (Thursday) at Wenzhou Olympic Sports Centre Stadium.
Bangladesh grabbed the lead in the 44th minute on a goal by Sabina Khatun, but Poudel equalised for Nepal in the 83rd minute after a short break.
Bangladesh's women's football team, which exited the Asian Games, had previously made a losing start in Asian Games football after suffering a massive 8-0 goal defeat to former world champions Japan in their opening group opening match and again suffered a 6-1 goal defeat to higher ranked Viet Nam in their second match.
Nepal has previously lost both of their group two matches.
Bangladesh won their first win in hockey, defeating Singapore 7-3 at Gongshu Canal Sports Park Stadium.
Mizanur Rahman Sobuj scored two goals for Bangladesh, while Puskar Khisa Mimo, Milon Hossain, Ashraful Islam, Arshad Hossain, and Rakibul Hasan each scored one.
Singapore was led by Hariraz, who scored twice, and Kelt Lu, who scored once.
In the women's 50m freestyle event at the Aquatic Sports Arena, Sonia Akhtar finished fourth in her own heat. Bangladeshi swimmers competed in the first heat. Sonia's time was 30.11 seconds. Sonai finished 27th out of 32 competitors in four heats.
Bangladesh finished 13th in the 10m air pistol event held at the Fuyang Inhu Sports Centre.
The Bangladesh squad scored 1680 points evenly.
India won gold in this event with a score of 1734, while China took silver and Vietnam took bronze.
Shakil Ahmed finished 40th with a score of 564. Shaker Ahmed finished 47th with a score of 560, while Sabbir Al Amin finished 53rd with a score of 556.
This event drew a total of 56 shooters.
On the sixth day of the Games, Abu Talha was eliminated from the boxing arena. In the 51kg weight category, he was defeated 4-1 by Saudi Arabia's Khalid Abdul Aziz at the Hangzhou Gymnasium.
Talha, on the other hand, fought effectively in the pre-quarter finals.
Meanwhile, Imranur Rahman, Bangladesh's fastest man, will compete in the first day of athletics tomorrow (Friday). He will begin heat five of the 100-meter sprint.
