Within two days, the Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) has again announced an increase in gold prices in the country’s market. This time, the price has gone up by a maximum of Tk 1,470 per bhori.
According to the new rate, the price of the best quality 22-carat gold stands at Tk 175,788 per bhori, whereas on Monday (1 September) it was traded at Tk 174,318 per bhori.
BAJUS announced the price hike in a press release. The new rate will come into effect from Tuesday (2 September).
The press release stated that the price of refined (pure) gold has increased in the local market. Therefore, considering the overall situation, the new gold price has been fixed.
