Only weapon for solution is people of Bangladesh: Amir Khasru

BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury on Friday emphasized that the country’s problems must be addressed domestically, asserting that the people of Bangladesh are the only true force for resolving the nation’s problems.

Speaking as the chief guest at a memorial meeting in Chattogram marking the 44th martyrdom anniversary of former President Ziaur Rahman, Khasru said, “There is no use in taking our problems abroad. These are Bangladesh’s issues and must be resolved here.”

The program was held at the LGED Bhaban auditorium in Muradpur and organized by the Chattogram Metropolitan BNP.

Amir Khasru said, “If you talk about anything else, it is better to talk about it within the country. Don't talk about it outside the country, but talk about it within the country, it is Bangladesh's problem. There is no point in talking about this problem outside.”

“I am told inside Bangladesh, it has to be solved here. If we keep talking about it outside and keep talking about it, the problem of Bangladesh will not be solved. We have to talk about it here, the solution is here.”

“At the end of the day, no matter how much you say reform, justice, whatever you say, the solution is the people of Bangladesh. There is no second weapon to provide a solution. The only weapon is the people of Bangladesh,” he added.

The meeting was chaired by Chittagong Metropolitan BNP convener Ershad Ullah and conducted by Member Secretary Nazimur Rahman. The main discussant was Pabna University of Science and Technology Vice Chancellor Dr. SM Abdul Awal. BNP Central Organizing Secretary Mahbuber Rahman Shamim was the special guest. BNP Central Labor Secretary AM Nazim Uddin, former General Secretary of Chittagong Metropolitan BNP Abul Hashem Bakkar, President of Chittagong District Bar Association Advocate Abdus Sattar, President of Chittagong Customs Agent Association SM Saiful Alam, former President of Chittagong Metropolitan Jubo Dal Mosharraf Hossain Dipti, President of Mohila Dal Monowara Begum Moni, Convener of Swechchhasebak Dal Belayet Hossain Bulu, and Convenor of Chhatra Dal Saiful Alam spoke.
