Assuming June 7 as the likely date for Eid-ul-Azha, subject to moon sighting, Bangladesh Railway has begun advance train ticket sales from today.
Advance tickets for all intercity trains operating in the western region went on sale at 8:00 AM today for travel on May 31. For all trains running in the eastern region, ticket sales will begin at 2:00 PM.
Here is the schedule for advance ticket sales before Eid:
- May 21: Tickets for May 31
- May 22: Tickets for June 1
- May 23: Tickets for June 2
- May 24: Tickets for June 3
- May 25: Tickets for June 4
- May 26: Tickets for June 5
- May 27: Tickets for June 6
Return journey tickets (after Eid) will go on sale from May 30:
- May 30: Tickets for June 9
- May 31: Tickets for June 10
- June 1: Tickets for June 11
- June 2: Tickets for June 12
- June 3: Tickets for June 13
- June 4: Tickets for June 14
- June 5: Tickets for June 15
Passengers can easily purchase tickets through the railway’s online official website. A one-time registration is required to use the service. Those who have registered previously can simply log in to book their tickets.
