Noboprobhaat Foundation, a youth-led organization advocating for marginalized youth, women, and Hizra communities in Bangladesh, has received the APCOM Hero Award 2024 in the Community Organization category.
This prestigious award recognizes the foundation's commitment to advancing human rights, HIV awareness, and social inclusion at the grassroots level.
“We are honored to receive this recognition, which reflects the hard work of our team and the resilience of marginalized communities in Bangladesh,” said Md Yasin Ali, President of Noboprobhaat Foundation.
Founded in 2018, the foundation has implemented key projects such as employment initiatives for marginalized groups, leadership training for youth, and HIV awareness campaigns.
The award ceremony took place on 22 November 2024, in Bangkok. Although Md Yasin Ali could not attend due to visa issues, he plans to receive the award in Thailand.
“This award is a victory for every marginalized voice in Bangladesh,” Md Yasin Ali added.
