The advisory council of the interim government has approved the national budget for 2025-26 ahead of its formal presentation on Sunday.
Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus presided over the meeting of the advisory council at the CA's Office in Tejgaon, Dhaka
According to the primary draft plan, the size of the budget is Tk 7,90,000 crore. Revenue budget size is Tk 5,74,000 crore.
After the budget is approved, it will be implemented in the form of a presidential ordinance from July 1. In this regard, an ordinance related to allocation and another ordinance related to customs and taxes are scheduled to be issued on Sunday.
