August 5 to be observed as a public holiday

From now on, August 5 will be observed as a public holiday and it will be tribute as the day of mass uprising of students and the public, said Cultural Affairs Advisor Mostafa Sarwar Farooki.

He also said the day will be a holiday as a day of mass uprising of students and the public and details in this regard will be announced on Monday.

Farooki shared this information at a press conference at the Foreign Service Academy on Thursday.

At that time, Farooki said, “The program surrounding the July mass uprising will start from July 1 and will continue until August 5. Details will be announced on Monday. The main event will continue from July 14. The program will be organized in the same way that the country was united in the movement.”

Stating that August 5 will be declared a public holiday, the Cultural Affairs advisor said, "August 5 will be observed as a public holiday from now on. The decision to declare August 5 as a national day will be made in the advisory council meeting on Sunday.”
