Mymensingh Deputy Commissioner Mufidul Alam is working to build the Mymensingh district administration as a corruption-free, transparent and people-friendly administration and to give the people a gift as a public welfare administration. Since joining Mymensingh, he has been working tirelessly for the development of the neglected Mymensingh district and has been running day and night with a firm determination to make every administrative office in the district free from brokers, bribes, corruption and drugs to implement the spirit of the July Mass Uprising and make Mymensingh a model district.

This officer of the administration cadre, who passed BCS batch 24, was previously working as the private secretary to Nurjahan Begum, Advisor to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Mufidul Alam, the eldest son of the late Maulana Rashid Ahmed and the late Lulu Morjan of Chainda village of Dakshin Mithachari Union of Ramu Upazila of Cox's Bazar district, passed his SSC from Cox's Bazar Government High School and HSC in Commerce department by securing 4th place in the merit list from Chittagong Government Commerce College.
He obtained an MBA degree with honors in Accounting from Dhaka University. Later, he passed the 24th BCS examination with distinction and joined the Civil Service (Administration) cadre. During his career, Mufidul Alam served as Assistant Commissioner in the Kishoreganj Deputy Commissioner's Office, Land Acquisition Officer in the Chittagong Deputy Commissioner's Office, Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Bandar Upazila of Narayanganj, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) in Sandwip, Chandanaish, Anwara, Panchhari and Baghaichhari Upazilas and Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Bandarban District.
After that, he served as Private Secretary (PS) to the Mayor of Chittagong City Corporation, Revenue Officer of Chittagong City Corporation, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment, earning a reputation for working to bring transparent and corruption-free public administration to the public welfare. Since joining Mymensingh, he has always been engaged in human service. Also, while working as the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Mymensingh, Mufidul Alam was promoted to the post of Joint Secretary. He is taking steps at lightning speed to solve any problem in the district. He has started a touch of development in every area and cooperation with the helpless and helpless.
In addition, he is suppressing irregularities where he sees them with a strong hand. Everyone has found DC Mufidul Alam as a neutral place. He has taken urgent steps to resolve waterlogging in Mymensingh and to make the district clean and traffic-free. He is investigating on-site to resolve waterlogging in Mymensingh city and making arrangements through the Chamber of Commerce and businessmen for the cleanliness of various markets. He is also making everyone aware of environmental protection. In addition to conducting campaigns to eradicate corruption and drugs, he is regularly conducting mobile courts.
He is working to free the government's private land from the clutches of illegal occupants and bring it under government custody. On the instructions of the DC, the case documents of the certificate case have been regularized. Notices are being served to the old lessees of the inactive documents to increase the collection of VP. On the one hand, due to the regular operation of mobile courts under various laws, the general public is able to live a normal life. On the other hand, money is increasing in the government treasury due to the collection of fines. The general public feels that the complications regarding the quality of work are being removed due to proper monitoring of various works including houses allocated by the government.
Deputy Commissioner Mufidul Alam said, as per the instructions of the Honorable Chief Advisor, we are working to make Mymensingh district 100% free from corruption. Land robbers, corruption, drug and terror brokers will not be given any concessions under any circumstances. He said, we are working to establish transparency and accountability in all areas and build a dynamic administration oriented towards public welfare. With the cooperation of everyone, we will remove irregularities and corruption from Mymensingh district and make the district drug-free and transform it into a model district of the dream of the July Mass Uprising, Inshallah.
