Fakhrul leaves for London

BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has left Dhaka for London with his wife Rahat Ara Begum.

They left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight today at 8:20am.

BNP sources said that Fakhrul is travelling to London for political and party-related work. During his visit, he is scheduled to meet the party's acting chairman, Tarique Rahman.

The BNP secretary general is scheduled to return to Dhaka on December 11 after a 10-day stay there. BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is likely to go to London on December 13 for treatment.
