Ex-IGPs Mamun, Shahidul detained

Former inspectors general of police (IGPs) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun and AKM Shahidul Hoque have been apprehended by law enforcers in the capital.

Sources at the Detective Branch said the former police chiefs were picked up from separate houses in the Uttara area on Tuesday night and taken to the DB headquarters.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Additional Commissioner (Investigation Division) Rezaul Karim Mallik also confirmed the matter to the media.
