The advisory council of the interim government has approved the national budget for 2025-26 ahead of its formal presentation on Monday, reports the Daily Sun.
According to the primary draft plan, the size of the budget is Tk 7,90,000 crore. Revenue budget size is Tk 5,74,000 crore.
Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus presided over the meeting of the advisory council at the CA's Office in Tejgaon, Dhaka, this afternoon.
Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed is scheduled to go on air at 3:00pm to deliver the first budget of the interim government.
