A clash broke out between the students of Dhaka College and City College in the capital's Science Laboratory area this afternoon (April 22).
Tension between two student groups began around 11 am and escalated into a chase and counter-chase by 12:30 pm, according to witnesses.
As the clash intensified, vehicular movement on both sides of the road came to a halt.
Mohsin Uddin, officer-in-charge of New Market Police Station, told the media that additional police had been deployed to bring the situation under control and to send the students back to their respective campuses.
