’We haven’t achieved desired Bangladesh even after sacrifices of July-August’

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has commented that the desired Bangladesh has not been achieved even after the July-August movement and sacrifices.

He said, “We have not yet got a truly elected government or parliament through any election. For this, we have to move forward with more determination and awareness.'

He also said, “We must always be vigilant. We have to build the organization stronger so that the challenges that come ahead can be successfully faced.'

He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion meeting and prayer mahfil organized in memory of late BNP Vice Chairman, former minister, brave freedom fighter and former president of the Workers' Party Abdullah Al Noman at the Engineers Institution in the capital on Sunday afternoon.

Mirza Fakhrul Islam said, “Today's time is very important for us. Now, we have left some of the determined issues undetermined. All parties should patiently find acceptable solutions to the issues regarding elections and reforms. We hope that we will be able to fulfill a desired solution in a very short time.”

He also said, “I do not want to introduce Abdullah Al Noman as the Vice Chairman of BNP. He was a much greater leader than this. I pay tribute to this great man. He has left, but he has left his works for us. If we follow these works, it will be of great benefit.”
