Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed expects that the country’s GDP growth to reach 5.7 percent at the end of the current 2025–26 fiscal year.
He expressed this expectation while briefing journalists at his Bangladesh Secretariat office on Tuesday.
The adviser said GDP growth at the end of this fiscal year will range between 3.9 percent and 5.7 percent and it will not be lower than that.
While speaking on inflation, he said the country’s inflation rate was 14 percent in July last year, which has decreased to 8.16 percent in July this year.
