The Public Service Commission (PSC) has postponed the final recommendations for 21 candidates in the 48th Special BCS for the recruitment of doctors. Among them, 19 are assistant surgeons and two are assistant dental surgeons.

The PSC has also cancelled the candidature of two other candidates due to lack of an MBBS degree.

The PSC published the results of the 48th Special BCS on 11 September. In the results, final recommendations were made for the appointment of 3,120 candidates.

The Ministry of Public Administration is scheduled to issue a gazette appointing them soon. Just before that, the PSC postponed the recommendations of 21 candidates and cancelled the recommendations of two.

Meanwhile, the candidature of one candidate in the preliminary examination of the 47th BCS has been cancelled for copying in the exam. He has also been declared ineligible to apply for any post in all the examinations of the PSC in the next year.

The PSC published a notification in this regard on its website. According to the notification, this punishment has been taken as per the “Disciplinary Action Policy for Criminal Conduct, 2000” of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission.
